Wandering Wednesdays

If you had a Cabbage Patch Kid when you were little you will probably get a kick out of this. Here is Jeremiah repeating the oath to be a good daddy to his Cabbage Patch son Olario Joe and yes he picked that name out all by himself.

......UPDATE......

We just got back from our first class and it was so. much. fun! Let me tell ya ladies, it's definitely a workout. Even though this is just the basics, I have a feeling my legs are gonna be screaming at me tomorrow. If you're husband/boyfriend would be interested GO! You will have so much fun!

Also if you are in the Tulsa area and interested in taking classes check out www.fedoradance.com. Jenny is great and the classes are very very affordable.

Skin Care Question

{Sorry I've been a little MIA on the commenting this week. The work week was crazy! I was literally busy from the moment I got to the office until I left. It hasn't been like that in a long while and it was definitely a welcome change to the lull! My reader is a little daunting right now but I'll eventually get through it all and catch up!}

I do have a question for you all.... At what age should you start using anti-aging products? Right now I am not using a particular skin-care system. I used Solvere religiously for several years but now that I am not quite as acne prone as I was in those days I am wondering if I should start branching out a bit in order to prevent future wrinkles, sun damage, etc. issues.

What are your thoughts on this subject? Are there any skin care lines in particular you recommend?

This is a picture of my Sister, our good friend Krystal and myself at the Tegan and Sara concert at Cain's Ballroom. I ended up going at the last minute with another friend which explains my choice of clothing. Blah! Anyway it was a great concert. My sister is a HUGE T&S fan and I do believe it was more fun watching her go crazy singing along than watching the concert itself!

Lazy Weekend

There was a lot of movie watching this weekend!

Friday - I had a girl's night with my good friend Lisa. We picked up Chinese, wore our pajamas, drank great wine and watched He's Just Not That Into You.

This movie was absolutely adorable and the cast was fantastic. Ginnifer Goodwin was so funny and thanks to the Mac commercials I love Justin Long. ;)

Saturday - It was so hot here and the humidity was out of control so we stayed home for the most part. Sometime during the day we watched Defiance.

This story was really touching. Zane and I are both history buffs but we had never heard of the Bielski's and their amazing story. It's a good one to see.

Sunday - The weather was much better so we took a little trip to the zoo that morning. (It's ridiculous how often we go there!) The afternoon was spent at home napping and I snuck this movie in on the hubby.

It was slightly ridiculous at times but still pretty cute. Isla Fisher is adorable and I would love to have her hair as well as her entire wardrobe for this movie!

I prefer being out and about on the weekends but being lazy is nice every once in a while too. I know I've mentioned this a half dozen times at least but we should seriously lobby for 3 day weekends. :)

Bronco Country

After yesterdays WW post I decided it would be fun to post some of the other pics from our trip to Denver. We drove over with Zane's cousin Jeremy and his wife Kristi. Long drive but so worth it!

Tickets to the Broncos game were Zane's Christmas present that year. I was afraid that the temperature would just be unbearable the whole game but it was actually really nice until they went in to OT. The game itself was perfect though. The Broncos went into OT, won by a field goal, and to top it all off it started snowing. Perfect!

Last game with a loyal fan, the Barrel Man.

Group photo with the funny orange pom-pom guys.

Beautiful views in Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park.

No cold faces here...all smiles this time!

And just to show how miserable he was for most of the trip....doesn't Z's face say it all.

I can't wait to go back but I'm serious when I say summer trip next time! Unless of course I learn to ski...

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE!!!!

Our first big trip together and if you can't tell from the picture it was COLD!!! We drove to Denver, CO to see the Broncos play and then spent New Years in Estes Park. Unfortunately Zane was on his deathbed the whole time so it wasn't the most romantic of trips. Oh well, CO was beautiful and I can't wait to visit when it's a wee bit warmer.

Funniest.Movie.Ever!

If you haven't seen it yet GO!
That's all I'm gonna say...just see it!!!

Honest to Goodness!

I'm so excited because Mommy Dear gave me an award!

She's a fav mommy blogger of mine and if you haven't checked out her site you must. She is beautiful inside and out, her kids are absolutely adorable and her writing is witty and refreshing!

The Honest Scrap award comes with a few rules. First, you have to tell your readers ten things about you that they may not know, but are true. Second, you have to tag 10 people with the award. Third, let all the people you've tagged know that they've gotten it. And finally, make sure you link back to the person who awarded you.

Ok here goes....

1. I was born severely cross-eyed and had to wear glasses for the first 8 years of my life. At age 7, I had corrective surgery to literally pull that eye over but unfortunately it didn't last long. I still remember vividly, my Dad pulling me aside and asking me if I believed God could heal my eyes. I said yes and haven't worn glasses since.

2. I have a soft spot for ugly cute things. You know like Gremlins and Pugs and Pygmy Pigs.

3. Ever since I was little I hated getting my hands greasy/dirty with food. Finger foods are not my friend. Honestly that's one of the toughest parts of being a mom for me. Little greasy hands! Sad isn't it.

4. I love me some milk but will not drink it if the expiration date is close. I have to do the smell test and everything. Bleh.

5. I have a dark side. ;) Halloween is my favorite holiday and I love anything Tim Burton, yes even the Oyster Boy stories.

6. I'm a closet flapper. I love the 20's!

7. I do NOT like horror movies. (Vampires being the exception of course. :) Some people enjoy the rush of being scared but that is so not me. I have an overactive imagination at 26.

8. I grew up Pentecostal...think the Duggar family. I still get a little irritated over the term "religion" and how it has chained so many people to following "rules" instead of having a real relationship with God.

9. Someday I'd like to have a ranch with Zane. A few years ago that would never have been a dream. As I've gotten older I've turned rather tom-boy.

10. I'm not creative at all. I wish I was and I love to nurture people that are but I'm one of those that will buy it over making it just because I cannot wrap my head around doing it.

So there you have it, 10 random, honest things about yours truly!

I am passing this award on to the following bloggers...

Father's Day!

I have always been a little Daddy's Girl and as I think back over the last few years in particular I see that that will never change no matter how old I get. He has stuck with me and supported me when I needed it most and I really cannot describe in words how thankful I am and how much I love him.

The boys showing off their muscles with Poppy.

(On a side note I also wanted to say Congratulations to Dad and Judy! They went off to Eureka yesterday to get hitched. ;) My Sister and I love Judy and I am so happy they found each other!)

Zane's Dad is a very special man. He opened his arms to me from the very beginning and was so sure of Zane and my relationship before we were! I love him dearly and wish we could spend time together more often.

Now this post wouldn't be complete of course if I didn't mention another special Dad in my life. I love watching Zane with our little boys. He is wonderful in so so many ways and that is obvious in how much the boys love and respect him.
I love you Zane.
Happy Father's Day.

Which Would You Rather?

Mrs. Mojito is playing a little game over at her blog, Make Mine A Mojito, and it's the perfect relief for my slow afternoon.

Which would you rather…

1. Would you rather someone hit your thumb with a hammer or shoot you in the big toe with a nail gun? Definitely hit my thumb with a hammer. I have no desire to be shot with anything!

2. Would you rather break dance or disco? Disco - I would definitely hurt myself trying to break dance.

3. Would you rather save George Clooney or Brad Pitt from a burning building? I don't like these choices. Honestly not a fan of either but I suppose I prefer George Clooney to Brad Pitt. While I find Brad attractive, there's something about him I don't like...

4. Would you rather have permanent orange lips or purple hair (including leg hair, etc)? Purple hair - Nothing a little hair dye couldn't fix!

5. Would you rather eat curdled milk or molded bread? Ohh definitely molded bread. I don't care if the exp. date is still a few days out. I won't drink it!

6. Would you rather have bad sex daily or good sex once every other year? Good sex every other year.

7. Would you rather eat Spam everyday for a year or be 100 pounds overweight? Spam for a year! Come on I'm Filipino, we love Spam and rice!

8. Would you rather spend an eternity in whatever you judge to be hell so that your most loved in the world would go to heaven, or go to heaven, knowing that your loved will burn in hell for eternity? I would choose going to my version of hell. My conscience couldn't take it.

Ok, now it's your turn...leave me a comment or re-post with your answers!!!
